WHO WE ARE

DJ ARI C. is a veteran musician, seasoned performer, producer, band leader and emcee. During his musical career, which started over 40 years ago in New York City, he has worked with Barry Manilow and Shuggie Otis, among others. He’s opened shows for the Smothers Brothers, Milton Berle and The Wailing Souls, and has been featured with Hedzoleh Sounds and The Doobie Brothers. His own group, Sax 5^th Ave., received Honorable Mention for Best Local Jazz Group in the Bohemian’s “Best of” poll. He’s performed at winery events, fairs, restaurants and country clubs all over Northern California. Ari loves a celebration and is sure to inspire enthusiastic participation at your special event.

DJ MAMA ("The Mixtress") is a dancer and music lover and has been a DJ since 1999. She literally grew up in front of a microphone -- her mother was one of the founders of radio station KPFA. She loves the funk, the hip hop and the Afro-pop. Oh yeah, also the Motown, R&B, disco, reggae, standards, salsa, cumbia, reggaeton and a little country. Mixing the music to your order, she makes it easy for even the shyest dancers to get up and get down.
